Information Technology Lead

Frijns Middle East is recruiting for Information Technology Lead to join our growing team in Mesaieed, Qatar. This is a full-time office-based role with occasional site visits.

The Information Technology Lead will spearhead strategic initiatives to modernize and optimize the organization’s IT infrastructure, systems, and processes. This role involves leading cross-functional teams, managing complex transformation programs, and ensuring alignment with business goals to enhance operational efficiency, innovation, and scalability. The IT Transformation Lead will drive the adoption of emerging technologies, streamline IT operations, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute IT transformation strategies that align with the organization’s business objectives, including digital transformation, cloud adoption, and process optimization.
• Lead end-to-end IT transformation programs, including planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Oversee the implementation of modern IT solutions, such as cloud computing, cybersecurity enhancements, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, or data analytics platforms.
• Drive organizational change by managing stakeholder expectations, ensuring user adoption, and providing training and communication plans to support new systems and processes.
• Partner with business units, senior leadership, and external vendors to ensure seamless integration of IT solutions and alignment with business needs.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of transformation initiatives and ensure continuous improvement in IT operations.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT transformation, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Oversee relationships with third-party vendors, consultants, and service providers to ensure quality delivery of IT solutions.

• Support the day-to-day operations and maintenance functions for the facility-related infrastructure networks and recommend efficient solutions by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and diagnostic failures and restoring failed operational capabilities within a specified amount of time
• Responsible for the procurement, installation, maintenance, and repair and documentation for IT infrastructure
• Provide all necessary support to manage, maintain, operate, design, engineer, test, inspect, and repair both the inside and outside plant telecommunication infrastructure
• Operate an IT Help Desk that operates daily, Saturday through Thursday
• Provide Information system and business applications support to include hardware, software, and infrastructure support to include maintenance, repair, and replacement of component parts and network connections
• Perform network systems administration and maintenance
• Provide all necessary support for IT infrastructure modifications and new installations,
• Lead transition activities on all IT systems as required
• Experience working in 24×7 mission critical environments such as data centers, where continuous availability of facility infrastructure is essential and of the highest priority
• Develop and maintain an IT plan as part of the Program Management Plan (PMP) that is focused on business and enterprise systems and information management
• Support the facilities, logistics, security, and telecommunications infrastructures by providing the IT and Communication systems design, implementation, cyber security, testing, Operations and Maintenance (O&M), software upgrades and recapitalization of hardware
• Implement enterprise solutions for Enterprise Resource Planning Tool (ERPT) support as needed
• Responsible for the preparation of policies, procedures and processes
• Responsible for collecting and overseeing customer requirements, design and engineering, cyber security, test and integration, and implementation of the system
• Integrate and coordinate with other partners to implement new enterprise solutions

Skills and Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or information systems management, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 15+ years relevant experience in major industries, including at least five (5) years in similar position
• Strong work ethics, be able to work under pressure and with different priorities
• Hands on with experience of extensive upgrade / improvement type projects
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills for coordination with clients, consultants, contractors, and executive management.
• Must be a certified IT professional with an International Information System Security Certification
• Demonstrated experience in helpdesk activities, networks, development of systems security plans, and upgrading communication technologies
• Experience in hardware integration, software integration, cloud services
• Ability to enhance alignment and integration with end-user
• Proficient in shaping and steering architecture, driving the implementation of cutting-edge technology solutions at the forefront of innovation
• Experience with using and administration of a ticketing, service desk, or tracking tool
• Ability to maximize technical, performance, and operational efficiencies and minimize lifecycle costs
• Ability to maximize services and capabilities
• Ability to enhance and enable efficiency across the business functions
• Ability to work in fast paced environment with excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong understanding of data governance principles, policies, and best practices
